MARIN
[maˈɾin] - Spanish (noun)
[coming from the sea“ or connected to the sea]

„Marin“ in Latin means „coming from the sea“ or „connected to the sea.“ Is it a coincidence that it happens to be my last name? Considering how much the maritime theme has always fascinated me, I hardly think so. That’s why I decided to name my first exhibited painting „Marin.“ This painting embodies my family name, my life’s work, and my very beginnings. After all, everything starts in the water - life, creation, and my art.

This painting, inspired by my time in Hawaii, reflects my passion and affinity for art that has been with me my whole life. In particular, my love for realism and the maritime in all its facets influences my art. It was during my first visit to Hawaii that I stood in front of a mesmerizing

resin art piece, which became the catalyst for my artistic journey - „Marin“ is a tribute to that moment. When I look at this painting, I see more than just a snapshot of the ocean. I also feel its infinite power and indescribable beauty. I sense the salty air on my skin and hear the waves‘ roar in my ears.

„Marin“ means more than just a name to me - it is a part of me, a part of my soul. I hope that this artwork will allow others to feel that same connection to the sea and the world of art that has shaped my life in such profound ways.
